How much does a translation cost?
The cost of a translation varies according to the language your document is to be translated into and the type of text. Urgent translations, certified/legal translations as well as the sworn affidavit procedure certifying your document are factors, along with other peculiarities, that influence the price. Our translation agency guarantees the proofreading of all translations.
The unit of measurement for calculating the size of a translation is the "file". According to the "Associazione Nazionale Italiana Traduttori e Interpreti" (Italian National Association of Translators and Interpreters), a file consists of 25 lines of 55 characters each, excluding spaces, i.e. 1,375 characters, excluding spaces.
OMNILINGUA, as a translation agency, evaluates the number of files contained in translations and the number of hours required for our interpreting services. The minimum facturable import for a translation is equal to one file.

Is it possible to visit your translation agency?

In any case, it will be necessary for our translation agency to see the documents that are to be translated in order to establish a concrete estimate of the translation service required or of the time envisaged for interpreting services and, by deduction, of the price. We kindly invite our clients to indicate the language(s) they wish their document to be translated and/or interpreted into and to provide us with their contact details. You, as a client, will then receive a free and non-binding quotation by email within two working days.
In what format should I send the translation documents?
You can send us your document in whatever format. If the translation documents are not available electronically, you can send us a photo or bring it by our translation agency so that we can make a copy. If your document is available in Word format, this will save us time and facilitate our work. Please note that for certified translations, our translation office requires the original version of the document prior to translation.
When is a certified translation required? What is it?
A certified translation / sworn translation / legal translation is a translation certified through a legal certification procedure, a sworn affidavit, and has the function of attributing the legal validity required for a document´s official use so that it can be presented to foreign or national authorities. Our translation agency can provide you with certified, legal translation services as we are officially recognised by the Court of Sanremo. In case of legal translations, we require the original document. An additional charge of 80 € + VAT plus a stamp fee of 16 € will be charged.
I need an urgent translation. What is the deadline?
You can benefit from our urgent translation service at any time. For urgent translations, we charge a surplus of 35% on the normal rate. Our urgent translation service guarantees the preparation of the document within 5 working days. In the event of absolute urgency, it is possible, always in agreement with our translation firm, to prepare the translation the following day.
Can I benefit from your translation services if I live in another city or abroad?
Of course you can! Although our translation agency is physically located in Sanremo, our translation services are available worldwide! Whether you live in Sanremo, Imperia or Ventimiglia, in Italy or in distant foreign countries such as Germany or even the United States: OMNILINGUA would be delighted to provide you with consolidated translation and/or interpreting services.

How can I retrieve the original of the translated and certified document if I live in another city and cannot physically reach your translation agency?
If you cannot physically reach our translation agency to pick up the legal translation, sworn affidavit, that you need for its official use, don't worry. OMNILINGUA uses the Raccomandata 1 and/or Raccomandata Internazionale (a registered mail service) and we will send you the original document as well as your certified translation within one working day and further provide you with a tracking code so that you can follow the "path" of your important documents.
I only have a few sentences to translate. Does your translation agency also accept short translations?

What is interpreting?
Simultaneous interpreting is the oral translation of a speech in progress between two or more people (guided tours, business meetings, contract conclusions, sporting events, factory or company visits, business lunches, etc.).
